Aguilar Castillo Love is very proud to offer its resources as a force for good, particularly for those less able to afford representation – pro bono work is of great importance to us. Aside from asserting that this work was integral to the firm from the start (it began, in the modern era, in the 1970s as a group called “The Protectors”); that there is a permanent commitment to it; and that it is practiced at all levels of the firm, we are committed to keeping it confidential and unconnected to the sphere of marketing and self-promotion.

The Protectors’ original, hand-written minute book is still in the possession of the firm. The first page set out its fundamental aims, the essence of which were a commitment wherever possible to carry out altruistic measures in support of those in need and without the economic wherewithal to help themselves, in uniquely and completely just causes, without seeking profit.
